The joys of the British weather :-( We’ve had persistent rain for 2 weeks now and Sunday’s forecast is not good. Therefore we’ve decided to leave the conservatory available for shelter and not show NiHao. It also hasn’t helped that I’ve knackered a toe so am not particularly mobile. Apologies to anyone who was planning to come along specifically for NiHao. If you let me know and I should be able to arrange a private viewing sometime :-)
Cheers

Progress on my new project at https://wordpress.com/view/nihao87.wordpress.com

Basically a variation on the classic US shunting yard layout. The intention is to have something that's easily transportable and self-contained that can be put up at a moments notice in the house or for exhibitions.

Having just about completed the new layout, the next project beckons! I'd originally planned to integrate Ni-Hao into the garage layout but couldn't work it and maintain portability. Now I have another exhibition layout, I've now fixed the boards in the garage and connected the layouts. This has been rather challenging due to the height difference and it's taken some time to get gradient and curvature right.

Next job is to integrate the electrics. As ever, updates and photos on the Ni-Hao blog.
