Re: Off to Shanghai tonight
Argh... there's a bit of a paint flaw on my DF4B Zhou En Lai... not entirely happy with it. Should I go back and change it or am I being pedantic?

I don't know, is it possible to post a picture of this locomotive, showing the paint problem...?

Re: Off to Shanghai tonight
Well, rather than a flaw it looks like there's been a scratch of some sort and an attempt has been made to touch it up. Normally I'm not too fussed, but since it is quite visible (it looks not right even from a distance), and this is nearly twice the price of a regular DF4D, I'll see if I can get another one. I'm not into weathering locos or anything, so I won't be able to easily hide it either.

Yeah, well, if they still have others I would indeed try to exchange it...
(Otherwise you might regret later on...)

Awesome. Managed to change my DF4B ZhouEnLai for a good one.
Also bought a "Tiger" 0489 as well.

Made it all back to Melbourne, Australia in one piece. Although at the airport, the luggage scanner did go off and I had to explain what all the strange looking things on the X-ray were. Heh.

Re: Off to Shanghai tonight
I went to Lee Kwon in HK 2 weeks ago and was slightly disappointed with the selection. Only wagon was the grain wagon (plus the Haidar C64) and only type 22 coaches. Better on the loco front with the JS still at 1300$. Plus managed to get a set of Preiser Chinese figures.

Yeah, Leo's stock in HK seems to go very quickly. He was actually in Shanghai as well... bumped into him at his Shanghai shop, preparing for some exhibition.
